ELECTRICAL AND MECHANICAL DEPARTMENT SUPERVISOR

General Job Description: Motivated, organized and self guided individual to oversee a crew systems and electrical component installers.

Specific Job Functions: You will be responsible for

*Employee supervision, performance reviews and discipline

*Training and coaching a diverse crew

*Team building

*Planning daily and weekly work schedules.

*Ensuring the timely completion of all work.

*Maintaining quality control standards.

*Maintaining parts inventory

*Designing electrical and mechanical layouts in conjunction with engineering team *Designing and installing state of the art integrated computer systems

***And have the ability to do and supervise those doing all of the following:

*Capable of reading and understanding a wiring schematic in order to lay-out and install all wiring for both AC and DC power systems.

*Installation and wiring of all electronic components found in a highly customized and complex marine electrical and electronic system. These would include; chargers and inverters, isolation transformers, generators, solar panels, wind generators and shore power.

*Installation and wiring of all navigational electronics including; depth and speed transducers, GPS, Radar / chart plotters, personal computers and computerized monitoring and navigational systems, SSB and VHF radio’s,

*Installation and wiring of all lighting including navigational lights.

*Wiring of pressure pumps, bilge pumps, refrigeration systems, and house hold appliances.

*Installation and wiring of audio / visual equipment, entertainment systems, stereos and speaker systems.

*Wiring of all electronic winches, windlasses and other motorized deck hardware. *Wiring of diesel engines, alternators and regulators.

*Capable to trouble shoot all electrical systems.

*Installation of: marine engines, shafts and propeller systems, Diesel generators, Fuel tanks, supply and filtration systems, Freshwater tanks and supply systems, water makers and filtration systems Manual and electrical bilge pumps, pressure pumps, etc. *Refrigeration, air conditioning and heating systems

*Rudders and steering systems

*Autopilots

Work experience requirements: Ten or more years experience in electrical / mechanical systems installation. 2-5 years Supervisor experience and training•

Education Requirements College education ABYC certified
