This daysailer is for a sailor who wants a boat with classic looks and quality joinerwork, a boat that is also easy to sail off the mooring and will be appropriate for newcomers and experts alike. - Cuyler Morris

A modest cabin is incorporated into the design which contains a vanity head, a galley with sink, 12-volt refrigerator and storage space for provisions. The port and starboard settees are carefully designed for lounging or sleeping. Generous storage can be found in the forepeak. An alternative layout converts the forepeak space into a v-berth.

beautiful daysailer
The M36 daysailer blends stunning beauty with outstanding running characteristics.

Sail handling has been thoroughly engineered for simplicity, reliability, and ease of use. All control lines, sheets and halyards have been led below the deck to control/winch pods located in the cockpit. Self-tailing primary winches are standard. The starboard winch is electric, which makes raising the mainsail from the cockpit a breeze. The only sheets running above deck are for the optional cruising gennaker. These are led aft to a location handy to the helmsman and are controlled by self-tailing manual winches. All of these features allow the helms-person to comfortably single-hand the boat whenever that is their preference.

Witness this daysailer's clean-lined simplicity. No cruising clutter here, just what's needed for a carefree day of pure sailing.

Forward of the control pods are spacious port and starboard cockpit seats that are over six feet in length. They are comfortably suitable for seating six adults. Cockpit seat hatches on all three seats allow access to the lazarette. Guests may lounge in the comfort and safety of this spacious cockpit.

The hull and appendages are designed and built for fast and nimble performance under both power and sail. Exterior styling is traditional with gelcoat deckhouse and gloss varnished exterior teak including the toe rail, coaming cap, eyebrow trim and cabin top handrails. The deck is finished in non-skid and the cockpit sole is finished with teak decking.

All mechanical installations are simple and straightforward. A Yanmar 21hp Saildrive engine with 2-blade Flex-o-Fold propeller is standard for auxiliary propulsion. Wind, depth and speed instrumentation are standard. A complete owner's manual is included.

The Morris Advantage

Unlike dealers or other builders where the base price often excludes necessary items like carbon fiber mast, sails, bottom paint, exterior/interior varnish, marine toilet, even the name and hail on the transom, Morris Yachts offers all of these items in the base price in a “turn key” standard package. Of course, you can further customize your boat to meet your specific needs…..or simply rely on the experience of the Morris project managers and buy the standard boat perfectly equipped to sail away with no added options needed. Either way, you will quickly know the true cost of your boat and any details surrounding construction with no surprises.

Morris Ownership Extra:North U and You

Included with ownership of the M36 to further enhance the Morris experience is an exclusive, three day on-the-water sail training program aboard your new M36 with a coach from North Sails University. Each customized program will be designed by North U to match the needs, skills and requests of each individual owner. For more information please click here to go to our North U page.
