COMMENTS:
Quite possibly the nicest Linda to come on the market in recent memory. The current owner has upgraded almost every possible system and Awlgripped the entire boat (including spars) during a complete 100k restoration in 2003 (see highlights list below). "Splendid" is reluctantly for sale by a very proud and meticulous owner.

2003 REFIT (partial list):
Stripped and refinished all exterior teak, covers for dorades & grabrails, new cockpit cushions, remove all deck hardware, Awlgrip decks, Awlgrip hull and boot stripe, Awlgrip mast and boom, new dishrack, new magazine rack, new stem glass rack, new rubrails, new book rack/shelf, new boarding ladder, new portlight gaskets, new running backstays, new staysail and main halyard, new battery monitor, new fuel guage, new engine panel gauges, new CD player system, remove/service/reinstall engine, new engine riser and elbow, replace faucets, new shaft, new cockpit shower, new stove, new water tanks, new battery charger, new autopilot, new chart plotter/radar, new wind instruments.

CONSTRUCTION:
All hand layed solid fiberglass hull. One piece, balsa cored fiberglass deck. Awlgripped hull and decks (2003), bronze opening ports and deck hardware. Full keel with cut away forefoot. Propeller protected in an aperture. Varnished exterior teak trim.

ACCOMODATIONS:
V-Berth: Starting forward is V-berth bunk (with filler) with access forward to the chain locker. Two storage lockers are located below the bunk, with the holding tank and additional storage forward.

HEAD: Located athwartships just aft of V-berth. Bi-fold doors forward and aft. Single stainless steel sink with pressurized water and hand pump to starboard and storage below. Hanging locker outboard of sink. Grated floor. Two opening bronze ports.

MAIN SALON: Oiled teak trim and forward bulkhead. Six foot settees port and starboard (green leather upholstery) with potable water below. Storage behind back cushions and in large cupboards port and starboard. Force 10 kerosene cabin heater on fwd bulkhead. Large dinette table (offset to starboard) with two drop down leaves (table is removable and can be mounted in cockpit). Hella fans and four opening bronze ports give great ventilation.

GALLEY: Gimballed Origo 3000 2 burner alcohol stove (2003). Storage lockers below stove. Single stainless steel sink with hand pump and pressurized cold water. Large icebox. Storage outboard in sliding lockers. Dish storage in custom racks outboard of starboard main salon settee.

NAV STATION: Located just below companionway (to port)aft facing seat chart table with lift top for storage. Fixed seat with internal storage.

ENGINE/MECHANICAL:

  • Volvo 2002 18hp with external in-line fuel filter.
  • Professionally maintained.
  • Control panel mounted on forward bulkhead in cockpit footwell.
  • Bronze shafting (1") (2003).
