COMMENTS: "LA NICHE" is for sale by a knowledgeable world wide sailor. She has crossed the Atlantic and is equipped for extended off shore sailing. She is in immaculate condition and has many upgrades, such as a full canvas cover, new electronics, a new dodger, and new mainsail.
CONSTRUCTION: Manually consolidated solid glass hull with Hydrex Vinylester resin, built to the highest standards with balsa-cored ribbing and stringers. One piece Baltek ¾" end grain balsa core fiberglass deck. All areas for through deck fastenings are solid laminate. Copper grounding system for standing rigging and engine.
ACCOMMODATIONS: The interior is finished in white Formica with cherry cabin sides, overhead handrails, trim overhead sheathing, and vented locker doors. Cabin sole is teak and holly.
The mid-ship main cabin has two pullout settee berths, a large centerline dinette table with two generous fold up leaves with storage drawers, a pilot berth on the port side and book shelf on the starboard side. There are three hanging lockers, three storage lockers and several drawers in addition to the galley storage areas. The forward cabin has a v-berth with filler, a port side seat and four storage lockers and drawers.
The engine is located behind a removable access panel under the companionway, which leads down into the galley and navigational station. The nav. station is outboard facing on the port side, while the galley is located opposite on the starboard side. The galley is equipped with a Sea Frost refrigerator, three burner stove with oven, double sinks with hot and cold pressure fresh water with manual back-up and a salt water faucet with foot pump.
The head is located on the starboard side forward of the dinette. It has a hand-held shower, hot and cold pressure water, manual back-up pump, Raritan PHII marine head with Y-Valve, alum.holding tank, and macerator. Vessel also has a Tank Tender system.
DECK AND HULL: Flag blue Awlgripped hull, ivory cabin sides and oyster non-skid. Stainless steel deck hardware; nine opening port lights; two Bomar opening hatches; bow rail; stern rail; port and starboard stanchions with double lifelines; folding swim ladder; Sprint 900 electric windlass with cockpit remote; two deck prisms; solar vent in head dorade boxes with stainless steel cowls. Cockpit has three sail lockers, Edson steering, cockpit table, weather cloths, dodger and bimini.
ENGINE: Yanmar 3JH 38hp marine diesel with quick-change impeller cover and freshwater cooling. Racor secondary fuel/water separator; electric fuel gauge; raw water strainer; Edson dual lever control and three-blade max prop.
