Wow, the spring is flying by! Boats are being rigged and launched and everyone seems excited about the coming season. The optimism that we were feeling earlier this year from buyers has led to a very busy April. As we turn the corner into May we have four boats under contract with surveys and seatrials slated for this week……to say its busy is surely and understatement. I suspect buyers understand that it’s a great time to buy, and still time to get a boat for the coming season. Below are a couple of our featured boats, and a link to all our listings.

Happy Spring! Here in Maine we usually move from winter to mud season and then into summer (sometime in mid August)! At least that’s what it sometimes feels like! However, the mild winter (by our standards) has led to an early spring (temperatures in the 70’s for the first weekend of April) and boating is on everyone’s mind. We are continuing to see many signs of improvement in the boating industry as a whole. Customers are not only looking, but buying and, dare I say it…….seem optimistic about the future. Despite what the groundhog said back in February, it appears as though it could be an early spring here in Maine. It’s been a strange winter as the typical February snow and frigid temperatures, was instead replaced with rain and melting of what little snow we had. It’s hard to believe that the mid-Atlantic has had the snowiest winter in modern history. Having just arrived back from the fall boatshow circuit, it seems evident that there are many more serious boat buyers around. It’s nice to be able to talk to people about boats and not have the conversation turn to the economy. The increase in buyers is leading to more movement in boat sales. Morris Yachts will host the fifth annual Morris Boat Show at their service yard in Northeast Harbor, Maine, July 17-19. Open to the public, this event will showcase dozens of Morris Yachts on the docks and in the sheds.

This part of the world is not only breathtaking from a scenic perspective, but also arguably has one of the highest concentrations of high-end boats for sale….anywhere.
