We have added yet another building to our state-of-the-art production facility in Trenton! Construction on our new 60’x100’ storage building took place in late 2011, and it is now ready for use.

A Swan 44 is in for more work this winter, including the installation of a secret weapon for the upcoming double-handed division of the Bermuda Race. Free Bird will be sporting a racing bottom upon launching this spring which will increase her chances of finding her way to Bermuda faster than the rest of the fleet.

The beautiful M42 Sailynne 2 was recently delivered
to South Florida to the home of Frank and Lynne Baldino, who have also owned an
M36 for years. 

Our good friend, Paul Kenninck, recently came all the way from his home in The Netherlands, Europe, to view his new M42 under construction here in our boat-building facilities in Maine.

During his visit here, Paul met the entire production crew building his boat and saw his 'baby' (his M42), for the first time since she came out of the mold! Paul spent much of his stay with his dedicated Morris Yachts Project Manager, Nick Fawle, to finalize the precise customizations on his boat. Part of the fun of the boat building proccess is making your vision come to life, and noone embraces that process like Morris.

This winter, the Morris Service crew are busy upgrading customers' boats to better enhance boat performance, easy of sail handling and, of course, safety.

BASS HARBOR, MAINE, (December 19, 2011) - Family-owned Morris Yachts announces the hiring of Doug Metchick as the company's first Chief Executive Officer. In his new role, Metchick will lead and direct business operations and financial practices. In sailing terms, Doug will become Morris Yachts' Tactician. Cuyler Morris continues in the role of President as well as a newly titled position of Chief Development Officer or in sailing terms, the Strategist. Having Doug aboard will allow Cuyler to properly focus on product development, customer relations and key strategic initiatives. Cuyler will also maintain his position on the company's Board.

We are standing in front of the M-Series building where many yachts are in various stages of construction. We are all smiles about the exciting things going on, and the beautiful yachts being built by our master craftsmen. The three yachts behind us are destined for such exotic ports as Peru, South of France and Holland. Where will we go next?
