With the Morris 38 they will still cruise extensively but they have only the systems they need and, as the late -Tom Morris designed, the systems are easy to get to and easy to maintain. They wanted a boat to sail with 6; have dinner with 4; but only sleeps 2. The standard Morris 38 has a master and a quarter berth but they converted the quarter berth to storage. So this boat will be perfect. The boat’s draft of 5’6” will allow the boat to be docked in front of their house in Falmouth, MA so going out for regular daysails is also a part of this boat’s mission.

Although experience sailors they had not built a boat before and embraced the occasion. They rented a place in Sunday River over the winter and came down regularly to watch every step of the build process. The entire Morris crew looks forward to celebrating their new boat this Thursday.
