Morris GM Will Ratcliff co-hosted a jolly dinner with Morris Owner Conrad Hall at the Waterloo House to celebrate the skippers and crews of Morris Yachts, Able Apogee’s and other friends of Morris Yachts who participated in the race.

Will presented the Morris Bermuda Bell to Peter Santry and Peter Driscoll two of Reindeers four owners. Reindeer, the custom Morris 47, was the fastest Morris on the course and will take home the stunning custom chrome finished bell from Bellingham Bell. Our very own Stanley Cup tradition, the owner of the fastest Morris keeps the bell for the entire year only to surrender it the following year to the Morris owner with the fasted corrected time of the Marion Bermuda Race.

Other notable mention, Conrad Hall’s Morris 46 Shearwater came in 2nd in Class 12, beating out Aldens, Masons, Tartans, Island Packets and Hinckleys and came very close to taking the class.

We all hope that more and more Morris’ will compete in these races. Will said our party finally winded down around 11:30pm so I think everyone had a great time. And we think a party in Hamilton for the award presentation will be an annual event so we hope more of you will take to the seas next summer! Cuyler Morris has participated in these races many times so feel free to give him a call to talk about the experience.
