Don’t Miss the Morris Yachts Boat Show July 18-20th!

We will host the fourth annual Morris Boat Show at our service yard in Northeast Harbor, Maine, July 18-20. Dozens of Morris Yachts will be on the docks and in the sheds. It is truly a unique opportunity to board the largest variety of Morris Yachts.

This year’s fleet includes the M36, M42 daysailers plus Morris 28s, Justine 36s, Morris 38s, a Hinckley 43, Alden 45, a Morris 46RS and more. Please check the website for more details www.morrisyachts.com/Morris-Yachts-Boat-Show.

On Saturday representatives from North Sails, Awlgrip, Port Supply, Yanmar and others will be on hand to answer any questions. In the sheds, a wide range of brokerage boats will be on display. This is not to be missed opportunity to get on board the widest selection of Morris Yachts!

Sustainable Harvest
Florence Reed, founder of Sustainable Harvest International, will give a presentation about her organization’s work in Central America. Sustainable Harvest International provides farming families in Central America with the training and tools to overcome poverty while restoring our planet's tropical forests. SHI, a Maine-based non-profit organization located in Surry, was founded by Florence Reed in 1997.

Denny Emory
More Random Musings of a Yacht Captain
Back by popular demand Denny is a licensed yacht captain, holding a U.S. Coast Guard 100 Ton Master's License, and formed Emory / Yachting Services in 1996. A former certified Wilderness-EMT, he has voyaged more that 100,000 nautical miles on both sail and power vessels, visiting 41 countries on five continents. In 2005 he co-founded OceanMedix.com LLC. Denny is a member of the Ocean Cruising Club and the Cruising Club of America.

Gary Jobson
Gary Jobson will preview what to watch for in sailing in this summer’s Olympic games; and he will give a overview of the Americas Cup Race and the Volvo Ocean Race. We will also be one of the first to see parts of his new feature on Antarctica. Gary Jobson was the winner of the 1977 America's Cup as tactician for Ted Turner; is an ESPN broadcaster and Sailing analyst, writer for Sailing World and Cruising World Magazine and the pre-eminent ambassador for sailing in the U.S.

DOWNEAST RACEWEEK XIV INVITATION 2008

The Northeast Harbor Fleet (NEHF) on Mount Desert Island and the Kollegewidgwok (KYC) Yacht Club on Blue Hill cordially invite you to participate in the 14th Annual Downeast Race Week, between August 10 and 15, 2008. With the spectacular backdrop of Acadia National Park, the waters of Blue Hill, Jericho and Penobscot Bay will be the site of carefully planned sailing. All sailboats over 22 feet with individual or class PHRF ratings are invited to participate. We hope as many Morris Yachts as possible will be able to participate in this fabulous event.
