Prentice Weathers Joins Morris Yachts

Bass Harbor, Maine: Cuyler Morris, President of Morris Yachts is pleased to announce that Prentice Weathers has joined the Morris sales team. Prent joins the growing sales team that includes Eric Roos, Wythe Ingebritson and James Allen. Prent has more than 25 years in the marine industry.

As the demand for Morris Yachts and our line continues to grow it is important to grow our sales force as well,” said Morris. “Prent’s experience in our market, his extensive sailing experience and his personality make him a perfect fit for us.”

Prent started his career at Navtec in 1983 as a Production Manager responsible for all manufacturing production, inventory control and cost accounting for Navtec, Inc – some 2,500 finished products. After two years, he was promoted the Custom Sales Manager; his responsibilities included managing worldwide sales to builders, distributors, project managers and owners of premier racing and cruising yachts. After helping Bill Koch’s America3’’s winning America’s Cup Campaign as the hydraulic systems manager, Prent co-founded Rigworks in San Diego. Profitable in its first year, Prent went on to develop a worldwide customer base catering to the world’s largest yachts as well as the local cruising and racing fleets. Heading back East, Prent spent the next eleven year at Lewmar, Inc. as Lewmar’s Custom Sales Manager, specializing in hydraulics systems for large custom yachts, as well as project management, technical service and ultimately adding Maine OEM Sales responsibilities.

Prent and his family are moving to Maine from Guilford, Ct.
