Cruising World - Morris 45: Fast and Luxurious

Morris Yachts’ first 45-footer, built in 2000, was designed by Chuck Paine toprovide a luxurious cruising interior within a stiff and lightweight speedster for the purposes of ocean racing. It was a successful design on the race course, but the deep draft limited coastal-cruising destinations.A new Morris 45seeks to balance spirited performance with a more cruising-friendly design. Chuck Paine’s beautifully fair hull, with its long waterline, remains intact in the new iteration, but the deck mold, keel, and interior have been completely redesigned.

Blue Water Sailing – The Morris 454

By George Day
Writers and editors will agree that the worst opening line for any story, bar none, is "It was a dark and stormy night"… Well, critics be damned, that's just what it was. We had left Annapolis aboard the new Morris 454 Next Boat in a mild evening breeze…

Construction of Hull #1 of the Morris M52 is Underway!

After nearly a year of engineering and planning with renowned naval architecture firm Sparkman & Stephens, Morris Yachts recently finalized their design work and confirmed the first order for the M52. Builders Who Can't Stop Racing - Cruising World

Cuyler Morris took a long, hard look at the mark ahead, glanced back over his shoulder at the fleet of boats astern, and made the call: “OK,let’s get set up for a jibe.” It was the fourth day of racing during last May’s edition of Antigua Sailing Week, and his crew—the majority of which was made up of fellow Morrises, including his wife, Cindy; sons Sam, 10, and Thomas, 4; and his 8-year old daughter, Sophia—sprang into action (“sprang,” of course, being a relative term).
Joking aside, after several months of cruising the Caribbean aboard their Morris 48, Firefly, the clan very much had their collective sea legs beneath them.
